(1.)
I've a peanut in my mouth
And my tongue has lashed upon it
Splitting it along its natural equator

And now I feel its organs
Smooth like sandpaper
Rid of all its use and grit

And I marvel at the divine engineering
Not of the simple design of the nut
But the fatal power occupying my mouth.

(2./ Friday Morning 8AM)

An expanding feeling of emptiness
from the center of my stomach
vacuums outward toward my spine and navel.

And my throat is churning as it's knot tangles
becoming larger until its familiar tightness
marches upon my jaw.

My fingertips and toes are sufficating,
as a void left by misguided blood that warms my cheeks
results in their frigid nature.

Hairs of my triceps stand at attention
joining the refrain of their brothers along my neck
and they make me itch.

And the train pulls away,
and all the discourse I embody
falls away in a single Caribbean drop

And I stand alone.
