BERLIN

Berlin. The city that survived. After walking along the East Side Gallery, and visitng with a deaf Turkish man that built a shanty along the "Dead Man Zone", property that is now worth literally tens of thousands of times the cost of the dwelling, I begin to see the resiliance of this place. Beautiful murals now adorn the remains of The Wall, turning it into an erie beauty instead of the scar one would imagine being left by the divider that once ran across the city. The people are beautiful, and more hip then next months VICE. We spent last night at the Ritter Butzke, arriving around 1.30 and leaving around 1pm the next day. Amazing DJs playing on three differnt stages dispursed throughout the rather dimmly lit club. At one point around 7 or 8AM I stepped outside to cool off and breath, and hearing the birds chirpping, I returned to the floor with the heavy news "Its tomorrow out there." A gentleman from Manchester replied "Well, you better stay in here then"

Check back soon for the full report and photos.
