Yesterday, or more over this morning, I went to Platform Theater to see Format B. Format B is a minimal techno DJ out of Berlin. Also playing were Stereo Sandwich, BO NIJS, and Pushnoi. The sounds were very eclectic, blending simple techno tech-house minimal beats with tribal and conga loops. However, the best part of the night, as usual, was the crowd. Its a definite experience to be pulsating alongside 100 Dutch nationals, in there hipster attire, ranging from simple black dresses to Daisy-Dukes with a Referee top. One determined clubber was wear rain boots, large, marsh wading, duck hunting green, RAIN BOOTS. I think the best part is that no matter where I go, in social scenarios, I'm always going to be way, way, way more hip then any dutch person could imagine. Its my blessing and my curse.
In other news, Ive been super busy lately, with the trip to Berlin, school, and other commitments, and thus I have done no more (postable) work on the animation. I am still working on it, and it will be done soon, but for now the April 15 deadline is certainly not going to be met. Also, Im learning how to write HTML, so hopefully when I get back to Charleston this site can go live, and not be supported by blogger. Not to say I am not incredibly grateful for the Blogger system, but I feel that www.Drugs&Stereo.com will be far more.. well, awesome. Thats all for now kids, and ask yourself- Who put the Benzadrine in Mrs. Murphys Ovaltine?
