STORY:
So, a few weeks ago, Anni Blix, a friend of a resident here in my International Student House, came to visit. She and my friend Gabo hit things off, and she extend an invitation to us to come visit. A couple weeks later, we were planning the car rental and printing the Google Map.
The trip was made by myself, Gabo (Mexico), Ahmed (Turkey), Max (Germany), and Otikal (Uganda). We rented a Ford crossover vehicle, and drove the 6 or so hours to Kreuzberg. Max's family is in Berlin, and Ahmeds plan was to continue on to Bremen to fly to Rome, so they both stayed one night, leaving the group down to 3. But none of that is really interesting. Kind of like Grapes of Wrath, until Rose of Sharron gives up some teet to the infant she finds, but I DIGRESS.
So, we were in Berlin and we did what people do in Berlin. Checked out the Wall, which was not as emotional as I had hoped, visted some memorials, the Berlin Guggenheim, you know, ate some North Africa food- Standard Issue Itinerary. We also did the things that you do in life and then say, I should never bring this up again, like staying in a sleezy disco for 12 hours. Or going to a gay bar because your host says "Its just SoOoOOo FUnNnNNN!" until someone gets hit on by a tranny that's "A girl where it counts". The trip was great, I spent about 90E on transport, but thats only a little more than a train round trip, and traveling by car is much better (the Eurorail aint no damn Hogwarts Express for all you that havent dealt with it). And in Berlin I spent perhaps 50E for 5 days. Given, we had free housing, and use of a kitchen to make food, two things that cut costs like a hot knife to post lipo fat, but still Berlin is a cheap city by EU standards, and a definite must see for anyone traveling to Europe.
