| Logan Neitzel |
Coming off his first debut at NYFW, Logan Neitzel returned to Charleston this weekend to show pieces from his new collection. The 26-year-old designer, who wore an ensemble of all black and spoke with a soft dry voice, had an appearance that charmed multiple enthusd party goers to trace his thin face, and long hair, down his black garb, to his long white fingers adorned with rings, without any thought that their stares were unwanted. Allowing most to arrive at the conclusion- Logan Neitzel
looks like a designer.
A favorite piece in the show was a long black fox tail, that for all I and those around me could assume, was to be worn as such, bouncing lightly over the hunches as one parades down the avenue. Although nobody at the party was equipped with this fuzzy new accessory- the store-front of Hampden Clothing at 314 King Street this Friday was full of people in fantastic outfits.

| Leggings with a built in garter? Yes. |
 |
| High black socks, brown leather shoes, net leggings, wrist-watch, black top and bottom, and a dark cream blazer- For me this VENT Magazine contributor walks away with Best Outfit for the evening. |
One could move from one corner where the designer and his entourage were conversing about his vision as an artist, to the other, where three or four girls in short dresses and fur vests (a well represented look for the cooling weather) were debating tough issues such as "White or Red?". And if you were to become hungry, just step over to the table full of that Anglo Favorite- Cheese and Crackers. I found this mature couple, with amazing eye-ware doing just that.

Speaking with Logan, I realized that he was more than just another high-cheek-boned all-black-wearin' sewing-machine-totin' misunderstood dress maker. He's someone who has something that
needs to be done. He is trying to create a physical reality out of a personal vision. He's letting it all hang out, in a statement on his website
(Here) we are shown a Giacometti/Cezanne-esque side of the relatively young man when he states- "It's done when it's done, even if the edges are raw". Asking him about his favored materials, Logan said he enjoys working with fur and leather, and from the looks of the show, we can add spandex to that list. But the real deal, the nitty-gritty, is that no matter how you slice it, these clothes looked
right. The live models showed how well he truly understands both the form of the female body, and the structures he is creating to house them. Truly an amazing show.
Aghh I love him! I was there Saturday (I couldn't go friday and was VERY dissapointed)
